More about the Shakers Supporters Trust

With the help of Supporters Direct, Forever Bury was officially launched by Bury fans on the 4th July 2002 and plays a significant role in helping to move the club forward whilst giving the fans a chance to be actively involved with their club.

In the first 10 years of existence the hard working team of volunteers have invested over £150,000 into the club to cover the cost of numerous projects around the ground. 

In recognition of the financial involvement and the work that Forever Bury does to bring the community and club together we have an elected representative on the Bury FC Board of Directors and are now one of the major shareholders.

Forever Bury would like to thanks the directors and staff of Bury Football Club for the help and support we have had from them since we formed. Many of our events, be it Car Boot Sales, Beer Festivals, Charity Matches, Fan’s Forums or our Cabin, are all dependent on the club’s generosity in allowing us to use their facilities.

The Forever Bury Board meet every month and as we hold a place on the club’s Board of Directors we have a route whereby any queries, concerns, ideas and suggestions are all put before the club’s directors at their regular Board Meetings. Likewise the Bury FC Board have the same route to Forever Bury. Both Boards also meet for a discussion on a regular basis.

We are also keen to improve the communication between club and fans and hold regular Fans Forums to enable any supporter to put their questions and concerns to directors, management and players. Similarly we feedback any complaints or ideas that people pass on to us.

Membership is open to anyone with the interests of the club at heart and also offers many advantages in the form of its Discount Scheme. All members can receive discounts at numerous businesses on production of their membership card.

Several events are organised every year and we also work with local schools, charities and businesses. We act as a link for the club into the wider community and give everyone the opportunity to get involved.

We would like to encourage everybody – fans or people with a soft spot for the club to join us and help make a difference as both Forever Bury and Bury FC work together to help build a brighter future. Two former Shakers stars have joined our ranks - Chris Lucketti joined and took an the role of President and Gordon Taylor, head of the PFA, also joined.
