Debutant Lateef Elford-Alliyu rescued a point for Bury after they fell behind to a first half wonder goal for Matt Spring.

The Shakers had no choice but to ramp up their energy in the second half, with David Worrall and Elford-Alliyu joining the field and setting up the equaliser.

The pair have linked up before at West Brom, and Worrall made the most of a nothing ball to cross low for Elford-Alliyu who buried it at the near post.

Ryan Dickson received a talking to from the referee on 11 minutes after tangling with David Amoo as he paced forward. The resulting free kick was blasted into the box by Steven Schumacher - Lenell John-Lewis got a foot to it, but saw the ball cleared from in front of him.

The away side looked closest to taking the lead on 16 minutes when a curling cross from the right challenged the Bury back line. Kevin Lisbie met the ball at the far post but his header went well wide - despite appealing for a corner.

A cutting pass from Schumacher on 20 minutes found John-Lewis on the edge of the box, but his low drive was deflected away for a corner.

Jonathan Tehoue did the hard work on 24 minutes, beating Efe Sodje for pace following a breakaway move for Orient, but he shot wide from the right of the box.

A seemingly loose ball gave Mark Carrington a chance to shoot from deep in the Orient box on 25 minutes, and his cross come shot forced a reaction save from Marek Stech.

GOAL! The away side took the lead on 27 minutes courtesy of a well-taken goal for Spring. He shrugged off pressure from outside the box before curling the ball just enough to beat Trevor Carson and place it in the top corner.

Carson got Sodje out of a jail on 43 minutes after the defender let Tehoue past him on the left of the box, forcing the Bury keeper to spread his body and keep the ball out.

One minute of added time failed to reap any rewards for Bury who were still looking for a way back into this game.

Dean Leacock will wonder how he didn't score on 82 minutes -a well-placed curling cross from Spring found Leacok at the far post

Schumacher was fed the ball on the edge of the box on 86 minutes, but his low shot was deflected on its way towards goal and Stech came out to claim it.

The Shakers captain was back moments later, delivering a corner straight to the head of Bishop in front of goal, but he headed well wide of the far post.

Three minutes of added time failed to reap any rewards for the Shakers after ramping up their effort with two important substitutions, but claiming a point ending the two-match losing run.
