Bury's winless streak extended to five games after they were well beaten by a strong MK Dons" target="_blank">MK Dons side - despite taking the lead after just ten minutes.

David Amoo latched onto a cutting pass from Steven Schumacher on the left, before rounding David Martin in the Dons net and rolling the ball into the net.

The home side reacted ten minutes later with a far post header from Dean Bowditch, plus he was gifted their second from the penalty spot.

The home side had the early chances, with Alan Smith glancing just over the bar after three minutes, before Dean Bowditch saw his headed effort at the far post cleared off the line by Mark Hughes moments later.

GOAL! Bury took the lead against the run of play on ten minutes with David Amoo claiming his second goal in as many games. GOAL! The home side equalised on 20 minutes courtesy of a Bowditch header at the far post. A dangerous cross from Daniel Powell on the right was initially headed towards goal by Charlie Macdonald, but a Belford block gave the ball back to Bowditch who made no mistake.

The Bury keeper was kept on his toes after the goal, and 8 minutes later, a deflected shot from Stephen Gleeson challenged him at the right post, but he saved well into his chest.

Macdonald continued to give Bury a headache, and he managed to drag Belford out of his net on the right of the box on 33 minutes, before seeing his low shot hit the base of the near post.

A Gleeson free kick on 38 minutes swirled towards the top corner, but an outstretched Belford turned the ball over the bar.

Two minutes of added time saw the home side awarded a penalty after Smith took the ball that step ahead of Belford on the left of the box and the Bury keeper brought him to the ground.

Joe Skarz appeared to catch Powell in the box on 61 minutes, but the referee waved away any penalty shouts.

Dean Lewington blasted a strong shot from the left of the box on 65 minutes, but he forced an equally strong save from Belford who got down well at the near post.

Macdonald continued to be a threat in front of goal and saw his headed effort on 79 minutes go just over the bar after a cross from O'Shea on the right.

Skarz acted fast to clear the threat from the feet of Bowditch on 84 minutes from just in front of Belford, giving the home side a corner.

A cross from O'Shea on 90 minutes was destined for the head of Macdonald, but he blasted his strong header just over the bar.

Three minutes of added time saw Hughes come close to an equaliser after a deep ball from Skarz found him in front of goal. His shot lacked any power and was caught easily by Martin.
