Bury Football Club, in association with shirt sponsors Surridge sports, are pleased to announce the very special launch of a limited edition '125' anniversary shirt that will be worn by the players for the clubs home game against Barnet on December 5th.
These very special shirts will be available for sale as from Saturday December 5th from the club shop, and the good news for Bury fans does not end there!
Bury supporters can purchase these tops for JUST £20 (£15 for juniors), and anyone purchasing a limited edition 125 shirt will also be able to purchase the teams current away shirt for HALF PRICE!
NO CATCHES, NO SMALL PRINT, this really is a special 'thank you' to our supporters, and we hope it will solve many headaches over Christmas presents this year!
AND THERE'S MORE! If any fans fancy a real piece of Shakers history then they can purchase the ACTUAL shirts worn by the players on this special day via a special auction with ALL PROCEEDS of the auction going to the Children's Ward at Fairfield Hospital!!
Bury Football Club Commercial Manager Peter Young spoke enthusiastically about what appears to be an incredible offer from the club:
"When Surridge sports first approached us about the possibility of a new 125 anniversary shirt we provisionally agreed, but on strict conditions that our supporters were given real value for money. We were overjoyed when the company initially came back to us with the £20 price tag (£15 for juniors), and then they also proposed to us that they would be willing to offer the current away top at half price if purchased with the 125 anniversary shirt.
At this point we took the decision to auction off the actual shirts worn on the day, and as a community based club we decided to raise as much money as we could for Fairfield Hospital's Children's Ward.I am so excited, not just about this offer, but both on and off the pitch there seems a real 'buzz' around the club at the moment, and as 2009 draws to a close everyone is already looking forward to fantastic 2010.
