125th Year Anniversary Success!

Posted on: Tue 27 Apr 2010

Bury Football Club celebrated in style this last weekend to mark the clubs prestigious 125th year anniversary.

In the social club, Dave Giffard has reported that the annual beer festival broke all records, meanwhile, over at the Midland hotel in Manchester, the clubs 'star studded' dinner, attended by Premiership managers, celebrities, Bury players and staff past and present, and once again expertly organized by 'Nev' Neville, was a fantastic success both in terms of everyone having such a great evening and raising valuable funds for the club.

Bury Football Club would like to thank everyone that helped organize/worked at both venues, the sponsors for showing once again what the club means to the town of Bury, and most importantly to the supporters that attended and made it a night to remember!

The celebrations continue this coming weekend with the Torquay United game, many former players from across five decades will be on the pitch at half time. Our good friends from the Band & Corp of Drums of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers (Lancashire) will also be in attendance whilst the 125 Anniversary special edition Matchday programme will also be available, complete with a full re-print of the Bury v Tottenham programme from 03 May 1947.
