On Track
"I think that we are on track at the moment, of course it hasn't been easy training the players this pre-season and getting to know them, but hopefully we will be alright come the MK Dons game. We are still looking to bring in some more players because we currently have a small squad and if we get a few injuries we could struggle and we have to make sure we don't do that".
"Hopefully Andy Bishop will play at least twenty minutes on Saturday if we are lucky, and then we will have a closer look at him next week. The same goes for Marcus Richardson who we will take a closer look at over the next week. All the trialist we have had in have all been of a very high standard, maybe the highest standard I have ever seen in football, and we will be looking at them over the next week of so".
"At this moment in time, Richard Clarke will not be joining the club because there are a lot of bigger clubs looking at him, but if he doesn't get a move higher up ten we will keep an eye on that situation because he is a very good player".
"I have had MK Dons watched a couple of times but you can't look to much into that because they could always make a few changes between now and the start of the season, and they have been playing against teams like West Ham so you can't read to much into those games, but we have had a luck and we will continue to have a look until next week".
"Hopefully we haven't given away too much about how we are going to play against MK Dons, but the players know what we are about and that's what really matters. If we are able to get a few games behind closed doors then we will play them but we don't want to overplay players and we want them to be fit and ready for the season opener including Andy Bishop who has to get used to our team schedule and he is a vital part of the team and we need to get him back as soon as possible, so all we can do know I hope for a better season than last year".
