Brass plays on

Centre of Excellence manager and former defender Chris Brass has completed his transfer to Conference North side Hyde United, but will continue in his role as the clubs new centre of excellence manager.

However, the 31-year-old was not offered a new playing deal at Gigg Lane and has now decided to sign a contract with the Tigers.

Brass joined Bury in January 2006 following earlier lengthy spells with York City, where he had a stint as player-manager, and Burnley.

Chris started 28 games for the Shakers and came off the bench three times.
