Two under the knife

Striker Andy Mangan will go into surgery on Tuesday for surgery to a correct a problematic double hernia.

Mangan joined the club during the summer and so far his move to Gigg Lane has proved to be a successful one with five goals from 17 appearances.Andy is expected to be out of action for at least two weeks before he is available for selection.

Meanwhile, director of football Keith Alexander is recovering after he went under the knife on Wednesday to repair a damaged knee.The operation is the same operation that skipper Dave Challinor recently had.

Keith is expected at Saturday's game and is expected to be back on his feet very soon
