Team news: Alan Knill will once again mix things up with his selection for this game.Trialists, who continued to impress on Saturday, have yet another chance to stake their claim for a contract though the number of players on trial has dropped.Nathan Joynes has left the club whilst Gary Wales is back in Scotland with a bad back.It is hoped that his trial can continue once he is fit again.Phil Marsh, Paul Tierney, Michael Jones and Danny Racchi are still with the Shakers and all four are keen to make something permanent out of their trial.
Those named on the bench on Saturday will more than likely start the game, whilst those that started will more than likely start from the bench.Don't you just love pre-season?The one good thing is that club physio Alan Bent has nothing to do apart from blisters, headaches and pre-match massages. With injuries being kept away from pre-season - so far.
It's pretty fair to say that so far, everyone seems to be fairly happy with what they've seen.Flowing football played on the floor, crisp passing, goals plus attacking football. As long as Alan Knill and Chris Wilder remain happy with what they are seeing, then things should be fine for the new season.
Chris Wilder returns to the Shay for the first time in a month, the former Shaymen's manager should get a good reception from the locals following his six years as gaffer with the newly named FC Halifax Town.Their recent demise has been well documented in the press over recent seasons.Reformed and restructured in the Unibond North Division One, Halifax has a long road ahead of them if they are to get back to their former status as a league club.
Tuesday night at the Shay has distant memories flooding back to any Bury supporter, though the last visit there wasn't the best with a 6-1 defeat in the LDV Vans Trophy. One of the scorers's that night is now a Shaker though with Steve Haslam joining Bury last season.Tonight's game is also his first return to the Shay since joining Bury
Kit: It's the Chocolate shirts and sky blue shorts again
