Racchi Facebook's himself to Gigg Lane
Danny Racchi has signed a twelve month contract at Gigg Lane.
The former Huddersfield Town youngster joined up with the Shakers for the start of pre-season training on a trial basis, and has obviously done enough to be offered a contract by Alan Knill.
Danny announced his decision earlier this week by using his 'Facebook' profile with a simple message saying 'signing for Bury on Friday'. We can now confirm Danny's Facebook status by stating that he has officially signed.
A product of the Youth System at Huddersfield Town, right-sided Danny can play in either defence or midfield and signed his first professional deal ahead of the 2006/07 season with the Terriers. He was one of only two players to have come through the academy at Huddersfield to have been offered a contract extension in May 2007 until the summer of 2008.
With the introduction of a new manager at the Galpharm Stadium, former Shakers gaffer Stan Ternent, Danny suddenly found himself without a club after being released at the end of last season.Danny becomes the fifth summer signing for Alan Knill.
Danny will take squad number 14 during his time at Gigg Lane and reaction from Alan Knill and Danny Racchi will be live on the website following Saturday's game with Sheffield Wednesday.
