The draw for byes for Round One of the 2008/09 Johnstone's Paint Trophy was made this afternoon and the Shakers have again been given a bye into the second round.A total of sixteen clubs received bye's into the second round, eight from the Northern Section and eight from the Southern Section.

The draw for Round One of this season's competition takes place on Sky Sports Soccer AM on Saturday 16th August, with the matches being played on the week commencing September 1.

The Shakers received a bye last season into the second round, where they successfully beat Rochdale before pulling off a surprise win at Elland Road.Defeat though came in the area semi final with a bad performance at Morecambe

Huddersfield Town, Rotherham United, Darlington & Lincoln City

South West Group
