Ricky Anane and Jack Dorney have joined Darren Edmonson's Blue Square North side Workington on a month's loan where it is hoped both players will get some valuable experience and games under their belts.

Both players are products of the Shakers Youth System though both have failed to make the first team this season in their first season as professional footballers.

Speaking to Shakers World on Thursday, manager Alan Knill said:"To be honest, players such as Ricky, Jack and Domaine Rouse are not really ready.At the moment, I couldn't put them in my team.Jack Dorney is a year younger than Elliott Bennett and at the moment, they are miles apart.They have a lot of work to do to get into the team.They are only young lads and at the moment, I don't need to call on them, so they have plenty of time.They must see the standard that they have to reach.The standard has been set on the pitch and it's for them to get to that."

Both players will join the Reds today and should be able to play in tomorrow's FA Trophy Third Round game against Wrexham.
