Posted on: Wed 16 Sep 2009

Tom Elliott set to join the Shakers on three month loan deal

Tom, an England Youth international, made a surprise first team appearance for Leeds during the 2006/07 season and became the first United player to make his senior debut for the club while still at school when he appeared as a substitute in the second half of a Championship game against Norwich City at Carrow Road.

A striker who stands 6ft 4in tall, he is another of the United youngsters on the fringe and was seeking to push his career further forward in the 2008-2009 season.  He had a loan stint at Macclesfield Town during the season before returning to Elland Road where he featured for the reserves.  Tom started the 2009/2010 season as a member of the reserve squad.
