Worrall in team of the week

Posted on: Mon 12 Oct 2009

Each week the Official Football League website will bring you the Team of the Week. Produced by the Press Association, the Team's of the Week feature the eleven top performing players from each division from this weekend's matches.

Darlington's Russell Hoult earns a place in the Coca-Cola League 2 Team of the Week, despite conceding two goals in Saturday's defeat to Dagenham & Redbridge. The veteran keeper was in excellent form for Steve Staunton's side who could have been on the receiving end of a much heavier defeat had it not been for a string of saves from Hoult.

Chesterfield's Robert Page is named in the heart of defence as he helped the Spiteites to their first away win of the season, at the home of the League leaders Bournemouth. His team mate Drew Talbot gets a place upfront after scoring both goals in the 2-1 win.

Ben Davies was on target again for Notts County, so is named in the Team of the Week again, but his side failed to hold on to a 2-0 lead against Torquay United and were held 2-2.

Calvin Zola joins Talbot in attack after he scored twice for Crewe Alexandra in their 3-2 win over Bradford City. The former Tranmere Rovers striker scored in the eighth and 23rd minutes to take his tally to 10 for the season.
