Coming Soon - Andy Bishop

Posted on: Thu 20 Jan 2011

Alan Knill has revealed that striker Andy Bishop is now back in full training following another injury packed season.

A minor clean out operation seems to have done the trick to Andy Bishop's knee with the striker reporting to be as fit now as he ever was, if not better.

Andy took part in the Manchester Senior Cup game with Manchester United on Monday afternoon.  Unfortunately, the Shakers lost the game 8-0 against a very strong United side containing Paul Scholes and several first team regulars.  Bishop played the last 30 minutes of the game and the news to come this morning is that ANdy has reported no problems from the game, no reaction to the injury and then took part in a full training session with the first team.

The Shakers gaffer also stated that it would be doubtful that Bishop will be involved at Southend, but instead he will play a reserve game on Tuesday evening before his progress is monitored again ahead of next Fridays Sky Sports Televised game with Shrewsbury Town
