Community Trust PROMOTED!

Posted on: Wed 03 Feb 2010

The Football League Trust who govern all the Community Programmes nationwide categorise programmes from Bronze to Gold, however Bronze and Silver only currently exist with Gold due to be launched in 2010.

The Community Trust for Bury FC have now secured SILVER status in recognition of the transformation undertaken over the last six months and the implementation of several professional policies including those around equality and environment.

Specialist Officers are now in place within the Trust under each of the Football Leagues 4 key themes; Health, Inclusion, Participation and Education. This allows us to conduct our work throughout the community of Bury without any restrictions in what we are capable of delivering as all needs throughout the borough will fall under one or some of the themes.

During the half time break on Monday evening, Dave Edmondson (General Manager) and Dean Grice (Regional Manager) presented the Silver Award to Paul Weller on the pitch.  Many of our middle aged supporters may well recognise Dave Edmonson from his days as a PE teacher at Derby High School
