Bradford City Pitch update
The snow showers that hit Bradford on Wednesday evening have left the Valley Parade playing surface under a thin layer of snow.
Bantams head Groundsman Mick Doyle and his team removed the small amounts of snow from the pitch this Thursday morning.
Rainfall is also scheduled for later on this (Thursday) evening to help wash away the remaining snow. The rain and the efforts of Doyle's team are expected ensure that the pitch is fully cleared by Friday.
Rain covers are currently in place on two areas of the pitch - both of which have caused the Bantams groundstaff problems before. Those two areas are near either corner flag running next to the Co-operative Stand.

The rain covers are in place in those areas to ensure the pitch doesn't become too damp from snow and rain. The sight of snow on the pitch usually causes murmurs among supporters regarding the prospects of play for the weekend's match, but Doyle can confidently report that the pitch is perfectly playable under the snow.
Once the formality of clearing the snow is completed, there seems no reason why the Bantams match with Bury should not go ahead as planned this Saturday. Please keep checking www.bradfordcityfc.co.uk for updates.
