Thank You

Posted on: Sat 20 Feb 2010

The board of directors, the manager, the players and all staff at Gigg Lane would like to express our sincere thanks to the 3,720 supporters that made it to Gigg Lane on Friday evening.

A bitterly cold night was made so much warmer by the atmosphere in and around the ground.  To those season ticket holders from other clubs, we hope you all enjoyed your Gigg Lane experience and we believe you had your entertainment in what can only be described as a 'one sided performance'.

Hopefully those fans can be encouraged to visit us again in the not too distant future.

Most if not all North West Clubs had representatives' of their supporter base at Gigg Lane on Friday and the incentive can be chalked off as a success, not only in gaining extra bums on seats, but also in promoting the good name of Bury Football Club.

The Friday night experience seems to have been a resounding success, hopefully we can try this again in the future.

Don't forget Tuesday night when Sammy McIlroy brings his Morecambe side to Gigg Lane.A similar crowd to Friday nights attendance would be very much welcome.

Enjoy your weekend and see you all on Tuesday
