Carlton back in training

Posted on: Fri 05 Mar 2010

Alan Knill has revealed that striker Danny Carlton is back in full training following his snapped Achilles injury in the second game of the season.

Speaking to Shakers Player on Thursday afternoon, the gaffer said:  "It's brilliant, Danny is now back with the first team and he does look good.  It's just good to have him back, he has some quality about him and he brings an extra enthusiasm into training."

"Its good to have him back after so long but if we are being realistic about it, he does need a few reserve games then we will see where he is from there.  He's a few weeks from appearing on the bench and we have to make sure we ease him back."

"He has been training with the youth team but now he is back with us and the tempo is a little bit higher and there is more intensity so we will see how he goes this, get him some games next week and take it from there."
