Posted on: Fri 09 Jul 2010

Bury Boxing sensation Scott Quigg will be at tomorrows friendly game against Burnley to promote his upcoming English title fight.   Whilst at Gigg Lane Scott will over see the halftime Golden Gamble Draw.

BURYS rising star Scott Quigg has at last been handed the title shot he craves.

The 21-year-old super bantamweight has won all 18 of his fights to date, 12 of them inside the distance, and he has landed an English title shot against Redcar-based Gavin Reid.

The fight will take place on Friday, July 16 at Bolton Arena, on the undercard of Matthew Hattons defence of his European welterweight title against Yuriy Nuzhnenko.

"We said we would deliver Scott a title shot and we are pleased that he will get the opportunity to start fighting for the titles that his talent deserves" said Quiggs promoter Gareth Williams.

It will be a tough test for him but we expect him to come through it and become the English champion.

Tickets for the show, priced between £30 and £90, and are available by phoning 07854 710 058 or by visiting www.scottquigg.com
