Newly promoted and aiming to get back where they belong, Leeds United head down the M62 this evening for the third of four pre-season encounters at Gigg Lane.
Simon Grayson is expected to field a full strength Leeds at Gigg Lane, and to make sure all is fair - Alan Knill will also go full strength.
Leeds haven't been frequent visitors to BL9 for over 50 years now, but were at one point with the two clubs meeting regularly twice a season for the previous 40 seasons. The last meeting was certainly a memorable night for the Shakers after a 2-1 win at Elland Road some four years ago.
The two Bury goal scorer's that night will again take to the field with Ben Futcher, who seems to be on course to be named the new Shakers skipper, and Andy Bishop still amongst the Bury ranks.
Bishop is also back amongst the goals following his well taken chance during Saturdays game with Huddersfield Town.
Trialists Kyle Bennett, Dwayne Samuels, Phil Picken and Lennel John-Lewis will be amongst the Shakers squad, and with the big kick off fast approaching, the chances of seeing Alan Knill's starting eleven for the Port Vale game will start to become more apparent - though in saying that, the gaffer has also stated that more players will be coming in - maybe even this week.
After a night on the moors with the Army, the lads are battle hardened and ready to start the season with all guns blazing.Knill may again elect to try the new shape for tonight's game, whilst the four new faces that have joined will again get another opportunity to impress the growing numbers of new fans.
Only Krishnan Patel may miss out after he collected a dead leg during training, he was the only player to miss out on the Army visit but will continue his battle for fitness with physio Tom Walsh.
Kick off is at 7:45pm, with the game also going out live on Shakers Player with Full Match Commentary.
