Debut for new away kit

Posted on: Fri 30 Jul 2010

Shakers fans will get their first chance to see the new away kit in action on Saturday, when the lads turn out at Haig Avenue in the all burgundy away kit.

Alan Knill is expected to field his strongest possible side for the game with the Sandgrounders, kick off at 3:00pm.

Unfortunately full match commentary will NOT be available for Haig Avenue, however, we hope to keep supporters informed of events on the field by using our facebook group with goal updates as they happen.

Later on Saturday evening, our full match report, video post match reaction and match action photo's will go live as normal.

Only Efe Sodje is showing signs of being doubtful after he collected a knock to an ankle during Tuesday nights win over Rochdale. All remaining squad players and trialists are showing a clean bill of health with a week to go before the big kick off.

With Bury finding the back of the net recently with seven goals for and none against, the management team will certainly be hoping the current form extends to Saturday and into the season next weekend when Port Vale arrive at Gigg Lane.

The website will also get back into full season mode from Monday with many of the regular features returning.
