Kyle steps up

Posted on: Tue 03 Aug 2010

Kyle Bennett, younger brother of former Shaker Elliott, has joined Bury on a free transfer after he was sensationally released by Wolverhampton Wanderers at the end of last season.

A very promising young player that came through the Wolverhampton's Academy system, Kyle signed professional terms for Wolves in the summer of 2008.  An attacking midfielder who can also play up front is the sort of player that has supporters rising from their seats.

Known for his blistering pace and close ball control as well as having the ability to fire the ball at goal with venom, young Kyle is a hot prospect for the future.

After being released from Wolves, he joined up with the Shakers on a trial basis over the summer and quickly impressed everyone.  A player with a permanent smile on his face and an obvious love for the game, Kyle has signed a 12 month deal with the club.

Like older brother Elliott, now at Brighton & Hove Albion, Kyle is a player that excites merely by picking the ball up.  He's certainly no stranger at Gigg Lane having watched many of Elliott's games for Bury from the stands.

Kyle will take squad number 17 during his time with Bury
