Bury Football Club are delighted to reveal that right back Phil Picken has signed a two and a half year contract extension and midfielder Mark Carrington has signed a full contract until the end of the current season.

Manchester born Picken joined the Shakers on 04 August 2010 after being released from Chesterfield.Since arriving at the club, Phil has been virtually ever present - missing just two games - and has made a total of 72 appearances - none from the bench.Phil has yet to find the back of the net.

A popular and active member of the squad, Phil will remain a Shaker until the end of the 2013/14 season.

Mark Carrington arrived at Gigg Lane in September, initially on trial and then on a month to month non contract terms.His progress into the first team was hampered with injuries including a blood clot in his leg, before his rehab cleared all problems and he finally made his debut in December against Brentford at Gigg Lane.

Carra has signed until the end of the season and has thus far made six appearances for the club.
