"I've been more than happy with the way pre-season has gone, but we still have the game against Ramsbottom United and the big match on Saturday against Barnsley before the big kickoff on August the 11th. I'm very happy with the way the team has improved, we obviously have had a few injuries but all the players have come back okay, and I am very happy with the way things have gone".

"Barry-Murphy has had some scans and they have come back okay, and he played the full 90 minutes in a competitive match against Bacup so we know have another good option available in the centre of midfield. We were able to play the few players that didn't play against Blackpool on Wednesday night, and there were a few trialists that we needed to take a closer look at and they are good young player. Unfortunately we don't have the finances to train them and help them to improve, but there have been some good trialists this year".

"The spirit in the dressing room at the moment is phenomenal, and they area a great bunch of lads, and there's a lot of believe around the place at the moment not just in the dressing room but in the entire club. We currently don't have as many injuries as we had feared, but a lot can happen in a day let alone a week, so if we are in the same situation in nine days time then I will be very happy".

"We have been watching MK Dons and we have been trying to learn as much as we can about them, and with pre-season coming to and end of pre-season so they are beginning to get formation and tactics sorted and will have their starting eleven in mind, but while we are watching them they will be watching us on Saturday so we have to remember that".

"There are still a few issues to be solved before we start the season, but the squad that plays against Barnsley won't be far off the team that goes to Milton Keynes. All the players in the squad have the right to play in that game but they have got to prove it to me by playing as good as they have been throughout pre-season, and Andy Bishop will hopefully feature at some stage on Saturday".
