Build on Last Saturday
"We've got to use the win over MK Dons to build up the team's confidence. It's a good start but we mustn't get carried away and try and build on that. Andy Bishop's knee has been a big concern to use throughout the summer, but he came through it okay and hopefully the injection will make him fit for Saturday. He has had a scan and it's come through all clear, all he has is a bit of tendentious".
"There is a great feel about the place at the moment, but like I said we are only one game into the new season and we have to keep this spirit up. I was disappointed with the result against Carlisle but it was a good performance from the lads. We have to remember that they are a division higher than we are and they have spent a lot of money on signing new players but I do feel slightly aggrieved about not taking the game into extra time".
"The standard of refereeing is always a concern. There are a lot of new referees around this year but the have to start somewhere and it's just common sense that they should start in this division. You have to give them time to adjust to the pace of the game, but the standard of refereeing in our opening two games has been disappointing".
"James Dean is an aggressive player which was what we were looking for. He wants to learn and he is very disciplined and he has got something about him no question about that. He does want to learn quickly, and he is desperate to make a success of himself so he has given himself a good chance. This club is all about giving people the opportunity and that's what we have done here".
"I don't think that it definitely won't be a repeat of the game last year because things can happen in football. It would be fantastic if it did, but it will be a tough game for us. I think that we have he capability to play different styles of football, so if Grimsby are expecting a direct style of football then so be it".
