Get a Clean Sheet

Posted on: Fri 31 Aug 2007

"We have moved on now from the defeat on Saturday. Obviously we wanted a little more out of the game. I thought that we were in the game almost throughout, but we have conceded a decent goal. It was a long journey to Wycombe and back again, and it was a really hot day. The players were a little disappointed after the game, and we did say that we do have regrets on not getting something out of the game, and maybe we just lacked a little composure in the vital areas".

"The players know how important it is that we get a clean sheet, because with that we guarantee ourselves at least a point. With the way we have been creating chances against MK Dons and Grimsby we are on good form at the moment, and all we need is to get them clean sheets".

"I think we have started quite slowly in the beginning of our game so far, and I don't know why we have. We have to try and change that, and the lads need to start flying at teams straight from the first whistle and not sit back and try and get the upper hand as quickly as possible".

"I think the lads are happy at the moment just creating chances, but we have to start changing that so were not just happy with having a good performance, whether it is the first team or the reserves or the youth team. We have to start winning football matches. It's not good enough to come off the field thinking you have put in a good performance. We have to start winning games with all the chances we have been creating".

"It's great as far as I am concerned at the moment that the approaches for Andy Bishop have only been enquires. I don't want to lose one of my best players, and it just goes to show that there is plenty of interest for Andy which isn't surprising really. Andy did have a good 45 minutes last week, so there is a good chance that he will be starting on Saturday".

"Brentford have made a lot of changes over the summer. They have a very good manager, and they are a footballing team and like to pass the ball. They are unbeaten at the moment, but we have got to say that no matter how good a team is in this division they are in for on heck of a game".
