"We should have won the game; I don't think there is any doubt about that.  Mangy has missed an unbelievable chance, Nicky Adams was through one v one and we had total control of the game, but in the end, Stuart Drummond has lashed one in on the volley and it's gone against us.  We will lick our wounds on that one, but we definitely didn't deserve to not win the game."

"We had total control and we know that they are going through a bit of a bad run at the moment, but they have some very good players on the team and were on of the pre-season favourites to go straight up, but we were fantastic.  We passed the ball around well and created the chances well, defended well and everything about the game was spot on."

"The goal when it did come was at the right time and I thought we deserved it.  We didn't create many chances in the first half, they kept it tight and they came here with a game plan after losing the last four on the spin, so they had to do everything they could to change that."

"They tried to take the sting out of the game and even in the first half, we were in good control.  In the second half we showed a lot of good composure and took the game to them again.  We should have finished the game off earlier and I'm disappointed that we haven't done that."

"Booking Paul Scott was a scandalous decision.  I think he's booked him for dissent but Scotty is adamant that he has not said anything.  We knew that Mr Jones was quite card happy and we told the lads before the game not to give him any excuse to use the card. He said that he did say something to somebody but it wasn't directed at the referee and it's a real shame that we will miss Paul next week."

"Somebody asked me at the fans forum the other day if central midfield was his best position or should we use him somewhere else.  My response was the same as it always will be, if you could slice him into three or four, then I would play him in three of four positions."

"Our passing and movement was as good as I've seen, the lads have given a real good effort.  It's a quiet dressing room and the lads are now downbeat or down. They have put so much into the game and to now in it, they are feeling quite sorry for themselves, and rightly so, because they should have killed the game off."

"We've set standards in recent weeks, Shrewsbury were one of the preseason favourites and to dominate a team for long periods like we have done, just goes to show the length that we have come and the strides that we have made over the last two or three months."

"We will try and stay positive about it, we are undefeated in seven games now and it's a good habit not to get beat.  I'm just gutted for the lads because they have put some so much into it. We knew that they would come here physical and strong, but I thought we were the stronger team to be fair."

"Lee Bullock has a knock to the shoulder, there's no dislocation or fracture of anything, hopefully it's just a little bruising and it will settle down in the next 24 hours."

"The lads wore black armbands today after the tragic accident in Hartlepool as a mark of respect.  Jim Provett and Lee Bullock both came in pretty quiet, we made sure that they were both ok and both were pretty close to the lad that died.  Jim used to travel in with him and it has affected him pretty badly.  Jim & Lee put black armbands on and the lads did as well to stick with their teammates."
