A good game to watch
"The first half last weekend wasn't pretty, but in the second half we really took the game to Shrewsbury and it was a pity that we didn't finish them off.We knew about the referee for that game and we knew that he is a little card happy, but I still think it was a harsh decision to book Paul Scott, but it does give other people the opportunity to come in and show us what they can do.Lee Bullock will have a fitness test before the game and hopefully he will come through that ok."
"It's seven games unbeaten now, and we've scored in every game, though it would be nice to get a clean sheet. The lads are bubbling away, they are confident, the belief is there and we are trying to play in the right way.The lads are enjoying themselves and we will keep it going for as long as possible."
"Andy Bishop got through 80 minutes in the reserves on Wednesday and he came through it very well.He was looking like the player that we all know he can be.He has had one or two injury problems but we are sure that he is over that now and he is ready to go on Saturday at Macclesfield."
"We've also got Dale Stephens back now and I think he's come back a better player. We needed him to get some physical games in, and he's done that with Droylsden. He also had a good physical performance on Wednesday for the reserves and he is another youngster that could come into contention for Saturday's game.Ben Leonard will be staying with Tamworth for another month and we hear that he is doing well there."
"There's only three points between us and Macclesfield and I'm sure that it will be a tight game.We are going there under no illusions. It's a local derby game, there will be a good atmosphere and it will be a tough game, but I am sure that Ian Brightwell will have been asked the same question about the game. They will know that we are on a seven game unbeaten run and that we have had a lot of good performances. It will be a good game with both teams trying to play the right way."
"Macclesfield last year were quite a tall physical team, they still have some size in the team but obviously with the likes of Terry Dunfield in there as well, and we all know what Terry can do.They do try and get the ball down and play in the right kind of way."
"Richie Baker's goals won the game last year.We started the game very well and played well for an hour and Richie scored two great goals before Glynn Hurst came in with a third.Spencer Weir-Daley got one back for them in the last quarter of an hour and it was all hands to the pump with Lewis Edge making a fantastic save towards the end. It's a cracking pitch at the Moss Rose I am sure it will be a good game to watch on Saturday."
