"It was getting a little bit scary with fifteen minutes to go and the score was at one all, Workington had just scored and they had their tails up, but the lads showed great character.  We know that we haven't played the best, we also had two or three injuries and a few couldn't play because of this that and the other, so we were stretched a little bit."

"We were quite a young team today and I had no problem playing that.  I didn't disrespect Workington or anything like that, but the lads have come through it and they have learnt a lot about themselves."

"We knew that we were quite inexperienced in midfield, but we also knew that we were energetic and that we had good quality, but when you have people like Graham Anthony and Tony Hopper in there - who do have good experience, and they showed that today, but fair play to Workington - they gave us a really good game."

"Our second goal was massive for us; it didn't give Workington any impetus or a foothold in the game.  If anything it killed them off and they changed their formation again.  We keep saying this about Andy Mangan, but he does create chances, whenever he plays - he does create chances, and when he came on, he gave us that extra little spark today."

"It was always the plan to give Glynn Hurst an hour, he had a tough game last Saturday, he put another good shift in on Tuesday and we got another good hour from him today. The plan was to let him run around for an hour, put in another good shift and then unleash Andy Mangan and it paid the dividends for us."

"It's nice for Bish to get his hat trick today and it's been a long time coming, the last one was Ian Lawson in 1999.  It gets Andy Bishop back on track. Confidence is one thing Bish doesn't lack, but he needed a 90 minutes and he's got that under his belt now and he can kick on now."

"For the second round, we want a good draw where we have a good chance of getting through, we want to get to the third round and play somebody decent to give the fans somewhere to go an enjoy themselves, just like the Workington fans have done today.  It was their cup final today and they made a lot of noise and helped to create a great atmosphere. We have one eye on that and it's a good diversion for us."
