"Confidence is good for Saturday, it's not as though the lads are not used to these big games.  We had a fantastic result against Leeds United at Eland Road, another one away at Norwich City and then obviously that fantastic night at home with Norwich again in the replay."

"The lads are fully aware of what they are producing and by their own admission they are underachieving in the league.  It will be great for everyone associated with the football club to get to Southampton and to enjoy the occasion."

"We also have to make sure that we take this form into the league and start looking forwards rather than looking over our shoulders."

"Andy Bishop has a fantastic record in the FA Cup with 11 goals in ten games, and long may that continue.  He knows what is needed for him to keep on progressing, he also knows what I think about him and I will aid him in his career.  I always have done and always will do.  If he gets another performance and another goal on Saturday, then obviously the speculation and interest will rise again."

"The better Bish does, the more speculation we will see.  That's football, but I hope they all do that well.  I'd like to see a lot of speculation and take a lot of phone calls about our players come Saturday night, if we do then obviously we have done something right."

"We are approaching this game in the same manner that we approach every game.  You have to give Southampton the respect that they deserve, plus you can also approach it knowing that you're not expected to win the game.  There are not many games that you can go in like that.  If you do go in expecting to lose, then nine times out of ten, you will."

"We are approaching this one no different, but again I will demand a performance.  Had we not got a performance on Tuesday night, then we would have been disappointed.  The Bradford game was slightly different to the game against Norwich, but it certainly paid off."

"There will be a game plan for Southampton.  The players are fully aware of what is expected against them and we will go and play with a little bit of freedom that is needed on a big occasion like this.  Who knows what will happen, a little bit of rub of the green, people do the jobs that I expect them to, then we may just get the right result."

"We have to go there and have a go at them otherwise we would becoming back thinking what if.  You have to do it in a disciplined manner.  The players are aware of what is needed.  The pleasing thing for me on Tuesday night is that we had a gameplan and we stuck to it.  It would have been easy to go in at half time and panic and start changing things."

"It's amazing when you get a game like this, there was nobody in the treatment room for our final training session and we had 20 budding Ronaldo's on the training field.  If anyone doesn't want to play in a game like this, then they shouldn't be involved in football."

"This is the environment that everybody wants to be playing in week in week out and maybe in the future some of these young lads will do just that."

"The fans will play a huge part on Saturday like they did against Norwich and Bradford.  They encouraged the lads and they were aware of what the boys were trying to do.  All I ask is that they go and enjoy it, scream your hearts out from start to finish.  Who knows, we could all be heading home with another special memory."
