It's gone now, its Grimsby on Tuesday
"In terms of effort and the way the lads applied themselves, I couldn't really ask for much more from them. It was a tremendous performance but sadly we didn't get the result, but like we did at home on Tuesday night, and again at Southampton, we now have to do it again at Grimsby on Tuesday."
"Southampton put us under a bit of pressure and when they did score, it seemed to knock a little stuffing out of us. We were weathering that pressure but the lads shot did take a wicked deflection, but he did strike the ball well and at the end of the day you have to give them a lot of respect."
"We were a little bit nervous, but we did have a go at them. Goals change games, I've said this before now. We did have a couple of good chances in the first half where Richie Baker hit the woodwork with a free kick, but all in all, I have to be happy with the performance. It's gone now, its Grimsby on Tuesday and that's all that matters."
"This is where we want to be week in week out and in order to get there you have to put in that performance in the league.Teams will take note and eventually you will get that opportunity."
"I didn't see too much of the penalty but I know Scotty was very disappointed because it was a shoulder to shoulder challenge. Its frustrating and then obviously when the penalty has been taken, Jim has done well and saved it and the lad had two or three bites of the cherry."
"We will take it and learn from it and make sure that it doesn't happen again. It didn't affect them and that pleases me. We went a goal down then two goals down, but we still kept doing what was right in order to get back in the game. We even had a couple of good half chances to get back in the game."
"That's what we have to now take into the league to get the result to get us away from danger. Its what we have to do now, it's as simple as that. This run has gone a long way in terms of the financial side of the club, but we have to make sure it goes right where it really matters and that starts on Tuesday at Grimsby."
"It's a special memory now for the fans and the players. Football quickly changes and we have to make sure that we are prepared for the next battle. We will be prepared for Grimsby and hopefully we will come away with a favorable result."
"It was another hard shift for the lads, but we have Andy Mangan back, Paul Morgan is almost back and with the deadline coming up, there may well be some moving and shaking before it closes as well. The emergency loan's are still there so its not the end of the world is nobody comes in before the window closes. It's got to be right, who ever does come in has to strengthen the squad. I'm not bringing anyone in to make the numbers up."
