"If this was any other place in the league at this time of the year, then you could say that our current form is promotion form, but for me, this is avoiding relegation form and that's the most important thing.  It's fantastic; the players have been brilliant to get 13 points in a month."

"The players think that they have got a chance to get more on Saturday to make it 16 points for the month. 16 points in a month is pretty good by anyone's standard.  I think we can knock the league survival on the head if we win on Saturday, but you never know and that's the thing."

"When I took the job I never thought we would go down, I was always thinking of how many points we could get - and it's still that.  We've got six games left, that's 18 points.  How many points can we get from those 18 points, and then we will see where we are at the end of that."

"I don't think we played that badly on Monday.  It just looked like two incredibly tired teams and you can understand that.  It's strange that the teams with the biggest squads don't play on Monday.  Championship and Premiership sides had a day off, but the teams with the smaller squads play two games in three days.  It's just ridiculous, but you have to do it."

"You have to give full credit to the players; we spoke about it after the Hereford game.  They came off and I said one more game before you can have a rest.  Fortunately we've been able to do that this week.  The result was always more important than the performance, especially towards the end of the season and it was fantastic for us to get another three points."

"The lads were tired during the warm up on Monday and they looked leggy, they are tired and rightly so.  They've had a lot of games we do have a lot of young players.  All of a sudden some of them have never played so many games."

"I'm happy with the squad and how we are, and anyone would be with 21 points in two months.  I saw no reason to strengthen the squad before the deadline on Thursday.  The players have done well and they deserve to be in the team, plus there are some players that I haven't really seen much off.  Hopefully if we are in a better position then I can see them play.  I was in no real rush to go and get anybody else in."

"If you look at the loan signings that clubs have made, nobody really jumps out at you to say that it was a really good signing.  Saturday is Elliott Bennett's last game for us, but we will extend that to the end of the season.  He's a really good kid and he's great to have in the club.  He's got that steely mentality about him."

"His form has dipped slightly, but it's just tiredness.  He came in on Sunday and we had a chat, he told me not to think that he wasn't fit, but I don't think that.  Its tiredness.  This is the most games that he has played consecutively.  These games mean something and it becomes tiring mentally as well."

"Shrewsbury have a new manager in place, and they've probably not done as well as everyone expected with a pretty big budget. They are obviously a club that have ambitions.  It will be a tough game but I don't think they will want to play us in the form that we are in.  We are one of the top five form teams in the league at the moment and they won't really be looking at playing us.  We will go there and take what we've got, we are in good form, we are pretty confident and we think that we can beat anybody so we will go there and take it to them."

"It's simple, go there and don't lose.  The players think they can win, that's the thing for me, they think that they can turn up somewhere and they think that they have a chance of winning.  You have that winning mentality and usually it takes you through and we are looking solid, but sometimes a bit of complacency can lead to all that coming apart, so we are trying to guard against that desperately."
