It wasn't too pleasing on the eye
"We had to grind that one out and from start to finish; it wasn't too pleasing on the eye. To everybody else it probably won't matter because it's three points, but to me it does matter. We played them and they looked as though they were really short of confidence and with our unbelievable run and doing really well, I expected us to take the game to them."
"We scored the first goal and it went the opposite way. I'm obviously not too pleased but I have to say that once again the lads showed a fantastic resilience and if you can win when you're playing as poor as that, then you take it."
"There goal came from there only shot on goal, it was a pretty poor goal to concede. They stepped up and the runner went through, it was pretty poor."
"We had some decent play around the box for the second, though they didn't seem to be able to clear it and Richie Baker, who I thought did really well today, put the ball in and Glynn is there to finish it off. It took a ricochet, maybe even twice before he put it in. It doesn't matter, it was a strikers goal."
"Paul Scott is out and Richie has come in, but it was a pretty close call because both Richie and Dale are both decent players. Richie was pretty good today, especially in central midfield in the first half and then when we moved him wider, he showed that he is a really clever footballer. I think he is going to get better and I was delighted with him today."
"He is one of the players that I have been on at for quite a while, basically since I walked in through the door, but if you keep performing like that, then brilliant.I hope he's not shown his full potential yet, he's only in league two and I think he can play at the highest level because he has the technical ability and it's for us and him to bring it out. We will give him the platform if he continues to play like that."
"Rotherham came here a few weeks ago chasing promotion, now we are on the same amount of points as them, but to be honest, it doesn't really matter about Rotherham. It's nothing to do with us. It doesn't matter who is above us or below us. It's about us, we know what we have done and I just thought today that we looked pretty comfortable."
"We were comfortable within ourselves, I don't mean within the game and we might just have taken the foot of the gas a little. The game was never comfortable. Even before the game, I thought we just looked as though there was some complacency there, it's creeping in and that reflected in the whole game from start to finish."
"It's frustrating standing there on the line because you want different things, you work on different things and you ask the players to do other things and then they don't. Some basic things crept into our game that hasn't been there, so I wasn't too happy about that, I'm still not too happy about it but ten weeks ago, we would have lost that game. The plus is that it is three points without really playing very well."
"There was no problem with the pitch today, and I think its things like that that we have to stop. We have to stop blaming other things and be responsible for ourselves. The pitch is the same for the opposition. We had opportunities to be better and we weren't today."
