"That was a proper derby game, and that's how it should be.  The first thing for me - it shows how far we've come - we were the best team, even before they had a man sent off, we were the best team with the chances we had."

"Jim Provett doesn't know what day it is, as Sodje was running back, the lad has pushed Efe and he's hit Jim and he's pretty groggy in the dressing room.  The referee made the right decision there, he got that one right, and he may get it wrong another time.  For their sending off, I don't think the referee had much choice, he saved Elliott from the embarrassment of missing."

"It was a fantastic run from Elliott, that's what the kid has got. I've spoken to Elliott, and I spoke to Mick McCarthy yesterday.  Elliott like's it here.  Fortunately I'm pretty friendly with Mick, and if Mick thinks that this is the best place for Elliott to develop, then hopefully we will have a chance of taking him next season.  The good thing for me, we haven't hindered him, we've helped him.  I wanted to bring him off near the end so that he could get an ovation from the crowd, but I just couldn't.  He's been excellent, as have all the loan players.  I've been delighted with him and he mixes pretty well with the squad.  The lads like him and he's been good.  I'd be delighted if he came back next season."

"I can't see how anyone didn't enjoy that game, it was a proper football match with great tackles, headers, one great goal, penalty area incidents and that's what you want when a side goes down to ten men.  We go for it, and they go for it.  I hope everyone enjoyed it, I did, and it was even lively on the touchline.   Two and half months ago, that would have been a Rochdale win."
