"League wise, we are back to winning ways with the win at Notts County, but there was a slight disappointment in that there was only one goal, we should have been comfortable at half time but the good thing is that we are creating chances.  It's only a matter of time before those chances are converted.  We only needed one goal last week and fortunately we got that in the second half."

"The good mood from Saturday quickly went on Tuesday though.  It's funny because I think I have seen that game differently from everyone else.  I just expected to win the game.  I sat down after the game with the press and they said that we had played well.  I didn't think we played well.  We had chances in the game and they were probably the best chances in the game but we didn't take them.  Subsequently we lost to a poor free kick.  I was bitterly disappointed because I thought it was a good chance for us to go through, so now we have to concentrate on the FA Cup."

"It doesn't matter what competition you are playing in, it's the next game.  For us - we do well at Notts County and then the next game, I expect the same.  If we are going to bet better and be better, then you have to have that mentality.  It doesn't matter who you are playing or when you are playing, you should turn up and be ready to win the game.  I just felt that we were not ready to win the game."

"Scoring goals or enough goals is not a problem.  We are seventh in the league.  I don't think it's a problem.  We are creating the chances and I am handed stats after every game that show that it's not a problem.  They say that the hardest thing in the world is putting it in the back of the net, but I believe that we have players here that can do that and as long as we are creating chances, I'm sure that they will do.  Andy Bishop has had two one v one's, and missed them.  We all know that it's only a matter of time before he puts them in the back of the net."

"The FA Cup is special, its tradition, it gives the small club a chance.  There's probably no chance of winning it, but a chance to make some money and that's the big thing about this competition for us.  You want to get through a couple of rounds and then pull a big club and have your day."

"There's also the non-league element.  It doesn't apply this weekend, but I've been on the end of a defeat by a no-league club.  Chorley away springs to mind.  It's really tough and you are glad that we are playing a league side.  They are really difficult games, but Gillingham at home is a good one for us.  We are at home but they are a tough team, but like every Saturday - they are all tough."

"There's also the other end of the scale, I played for Bury at Old Trafford.  It's the game that all players want to play in.  I was man marking Eric Cantona and he did this over head kick.  I can remember clapping him, it was so good."

"The fact that we are playing another League Two side does not take the gloss of.  It's the FA Cup.Everyone is aware of what the competition is and what's at the end of it.  It doesn't make or break your season, but it helps.  A cup run helps the football club, that's the most important thing.  More than anything else, it helps the football club and if we can get through a couple of rounds' and pull a good side in.  All you need is one of the big clubs and it does a great deal to secure funds for the year."

"I've got plenty to read on Gillingham, I have two DVD's plus I know plenty about them anyway.  I know a few of the players plus Sodje was there last year and he knows the manager, Chris Wilder also knows the manager and knows the way they play.  We think we are prepared for the game, but as always, you can prepare as well as you can.  It's down to what happens when you get on the pitch."

"Injury wise, Barry-Murphy has had four stitches in an eye injury.  He trained today and there won't be a problem with that.  Wayne Brown didn't train on Thursday but will on Friday and Andy Bishop didn't train on Thursday, but again, will train on Friday."
