We have to be better than that.

"We didn't play particularly well but we got something from the game.  That's the biggest positive.  We didn't turn up from start to finish so we have to take that positive.  We didn't play well, but we haven't been beaten.  So we'll take that and move on.  Now it's a decent point, before the game you look at Macclesfield and they are on a decent run so you probably take a point, but I am disappointed with the performance but I suppose it's one of those things."

"They looked more enthusiastic and they looked more physical today, they competed better than us from start to finish.  We've been talking in the dressing room and a few are saying they feel a bit weary; there are a few coughs and colds.  Whether that takes its toll or not I don't know, but obviously we are disappointed with the performance but we will take the point."

"We could have nicked it at the end, and even when they went down to ten men, I don't think we played particularly well.  I suppose it's one of those and probably before we wouldn't have played well and got beaten.  Today we didn't play well and not lost.  It's a point closer to where we want to be."

"We've had three one on one's in the last couple of games, it's not through lack of work.  It's down to concentration and on another day, as we have said through the week, we could have been three down at Accrington before we scored.  You know that in football that one day you are going to be bad, so you have to try and stop that.  At the moment we are getting away with it.  It's one of those things I suppose, everyone goes through it that we come off at the back of decent performances and a decent points total but it's another point in the right direction for us, but the performance has to be better."

"We are keeping the scoreboard ticking over, but we have to be better than that performance.  It's the first time really that we haven't turned up.  They looked stronger than us.  The endeavour is always there, but we didn't use the ball when we had it."

"Wayne Brown was there to rescue us when needed.  He was fantastic.  They say that strikers can win you games.  Goalkeepers can win you games and Wayne Brown did that on Saturday."

"We knew it was going to be physical, it's a Keith Alexander team and that's what he is like, but we competed.  We competed but we just have to be better when we get the ball.  The pitch was an issue because the lads said that the bottom end was really poor in the second half, but it was the same for both teams."

"From where I was stood watching the game, the tackle on Buchanan for the red card looks a bad tackle with the way that David went over; it looked like a bad tackle but the lads are saying that he's just not got there.  He was booked with Scotty for the incident in the goal.  I would rather keep him on the pitch, but with two bookable's, he has to go.  It probably looked worse than it actually was.  I don't think David made anything of it.  As he came in, he just went over the top of him.  David is not that sort of player."

"A few weeks ago we couldn't score from open play, now we are scoring some cracking goals from open play.  Today's was a cracking goal from Stephen Dawson after we conceded a really poor goal.  I thought we would steady ourselves but we never really got going again.  We are disappointed with the performance and everybody realises that, but we have to be better."
