"It's three points and it only feels like more because of the occasion. A crowd of 7,500 made it a big game, it's probably the first game that supporters look for and for is to win - it's a great feeling, I was delighted at the end. Unfortunately, we now have another tough game at Morecambe on Tuesday."
"I've told the players that they deserve the plaudits now but they quickly have to put that behind them because the game on Tuesday is now the most important game.It was a hard fought victory, we had to battle for it because Rochdale are a good side."
"They were third in the league before the game. They were excellent last season and had a great season and they've progressed this year, but the good thing is - we have as well. You look at their squad and their bench today, it's a strong squad and for us to compete like we have done today is fantastic. The players should take all the credit, they've been excellent from when we started the season to now. It's been a really good effort from everybody."
"The first goal was perseverance; Elliott could have easily given it up, but he didn't, he kept going and we got the luck that we deserved.I thought Tom Kennedy was going to clear it on the line but it just seemed to bounce over him.Obviously I was delighted."
"The second one was just a great goal.It was really good team play and Jonah took it really well. He's coming on great.Keith Hill has just said that you won't see a better goal all weekend, it was a great goal.Mike Jones has got great talent. We set up a team that allows the players to express themselves. The good thing for us is that the two young players - the two wingers, do express themselves and they always want the ball.It takes real courage and I'm delighted for Jonah today because I thought he was excellent on Tuesday and he was pretty good again today."
"I'm delighted that he scored today and the biggest thing about the game is that it was a real team effort. We had everything in the game, when we had to scrap, we scrapped. When we could play, we tried to play.I was fairly happy with everything from start to finish."
"Andy Morrell had a really good chance to make it two but missed. That's how it is - he didn't score but we managed to score a second.2-1 looks tight; I thought we were pretty comfortable.Mark Tyler didn't have anything to do.Rochdale had a lot of possession and we expected them to, they went for it at 1-0 down to get back in the game but I don't really think that they caused us any problems."
"Today was officially Mark Tyler's last game, but he has told me he wants to stay. He's been excellent for us.It's very difficult because we have Wayne Brown who is our first choice keeper.Brownie is coming back, but we will speak to the board to see what we can do, but at the end of the day it will come down to finance. He wants to stay and he's told his agent to sort it out, but its out of his hands, it comes down to finance. He's a top quality goalkeeper, they don't come cheap. You pay for what you get. We also have to speak to Peterborough and see what they want because they might want him back. All I can do is ask the question."
"It's massive that when we do get a big crowd, we perform. It's incredible that there were nearly 5,000 of our own supporters here. Now we hope that they stay, that they don't go away because it was only Rochdale. At least some of them should stay. It's important that they come and see what we are trying to do.It is difficult because of the climate at the moment and I totally understand that."
"We are so grateful to the people that do come; it's the one's that don't come.We want them to stay with us.We need to perform to keep them and it's important that we do, today we did. From our side, that's all we can do.Hopefully we've built some bridges today."
