Its easy to be frustrated and disappointed

"I did say that there would be lots of twists and turns, that was one of them.  Everyone is obviously negative about it because of the goal in the last minute.  You can't do anything about it now, and the good thing is that we haven't lost.  You look at today's results, and a lot of them you would never have down to be results today, and that's how it is.  A lot of teams are fighting for survival and a lot of teams are going for promotion and that's why there is going to be lots of twists and turns."

"I'm obviously disappointed but I have to say that it could have been a lot worse.  We have 62 points now and that's a pretty healthy amount of points at this stage of the season.  After having only ten men for 45 minutes, we have to say that we are a point closer.  The referee had no option with the red card, I can't complain about it.  It's disappointing how the lads got in in the first place.  Cressa brought him down and you know as soon as he did that that he is off.  Obviously we are disappointed with how the space opened up for Ellison to get in and for 45 minutes, we defended really well."

"A journalist has just asked me if I regretted taking of a striker for a centre half.  I've never seen a manager in all the leagues do anything any differently when a centre half goes.  I asked him who he would take off but obviously he's trained in journalism to ask stupid questions.   We lost a centre half, we had a centre half on the bench and its unfortunate for Andy Morrell that he had to come off and we played with one up front."

"Wayne Brown has been back for three games, yet he's not had a save to make yet.  We've defended really well and that's why it's so disappointing.  I didn't think they were going to score.  I know what happened, we didn't stop the cross.  We allowed Vaughan too much time to put the ball in there and we didn't defend it when it did come in.  I don't think that was because we only had ten men, that's just basic, that whenever the ball is in the corner you try your best to stop the cross and if it does come in, you do something more than what we did to stop it going in the back of the net."

"We started really well and could have had two or three in the first ten minutes, but didn't take the chances.  Then it becomes difficult.  They came here with a 352 or whatever shape it turned out to be.  Mark Wright is going to do that, they are fighting for every point.   I'd probably do the same if we were in the same position.  It was a frustrating game all round.  Its frustrating that we didn't take our chances, then we got a lifeline at the end of the first half, and as soon as the second half starts, we get a kick in the teeth with the sending off."

"We are all disappointed and it feels like we lost, but we have to pick ourselves up because we didn't lose.  There are plenty of games left  .I think it's a point gained considering the circumstances.  We were down to ten men for 45 minutes.  You could ask Peter Jackson last week if that was a point gained at home after being ten men for the same length of time; he would probably say yes it is a point gained.  It's easy to be frustrated and disappointed, but we are fifth in the league with eight games to go.  Undefeated in four, we've lost two in fourteen.  I'm delighted with that."

"Because of the standards that we set, it's disappointing that we don't win, but you can't win every game and we haven't lost.  Now it's Rotherham on Tuesday, another tough game, they beat Chesterfield on Saturday so it will be a tough game, plus it's a tough place to go to."

"We are taking Phil Jevons in on loan on Monday, I think that's a pretty good signing.   He's a good experienced signed that has been playing with Huddersfield.  All the paperwork has been done and we've nearly sorted it all out.  We tried a few this week and I do think we need some more players.  I've always been an admirer of Jevo, he's a clever player and he can score a goal.  He's here on Monday and hopefully we will have another on in before the deadline as well."
