"Saturday's game with Bournemouth was a poor game, but we got three points.  It doesn't matter at this stage of the season, it will get nervy but it's all about three points.  I doubt you will see free flowing football at this time of the season.   We don't want to lose games, and the opposition don't want to lose games.   It's hard to go and express yourself because there is so much at stake and that dictates what kind of game we are going to see, but thankfully the bit of quality needed came from us with a good goal to win the game."

"Andy Bishop was rested last weekend and so far we haven't seen the affect of that.   He's not trained all week, but we will take a look at him today.  We are lucky though in that we have three strong players that can come in."

"Results on Tuesday night have again gone our way.  There is nothing that we can do about other results, all we can do is put ourselves into a strong position - like we have done, and really look after what we do.  It's not luck that we are in second position, we deserve to be there.  The league table never lies.  Our job now is to stay there.  Never mind looking to get first position, stay where we are because it's been a fantastic season so far.  If we can better second position, then great."

"Nothing has changed; the target is still the next game.  I know there are only six games left to play but we all know that so many things can happen.  You just have to take one at a time.  I usually have a bit of a plan and a long term plan, but since Christmas it's just been one game at a time.  I've learnt a lot since Christmas.  We had a plan to try and get into a strong position, then push on or try to push on and we've done that, and really well.  I don't panic, I trust the players.  They've been excellent all season and now for the final six games we will do exactly the same and trust the players."

"Nothing changes, we are not going to come out and say its six games lets go for it.  I've only ever played one system all season, it's never changed.  We have attacking players so let's go and attack.  It's a season's work.  You get them in July and you finish it at the end.  We know how we play, they know what system we play, they know how I expect them to play so we might as well carry on with that, it's got us into second position and I don't think it is going to change."

'I'm delighted for the fans because for quite a few years' it's not been good.  Now they are enjoying it.  It's our job to entertain and make people's weekends better.  If there's one thing I ask the fans on Saturday, it's please start us off!!'

"I've not seen any sign of nerves or panic from the lads.  Training this week has been really good.  I know that for a few of them, they've never been in this position.  I've not seen any sign of anything; it was pretty good on Tuesday and very good on Thursday, but you can be excellent through the week, the proof will come on Saturday at Port Vale."

"If there's any sign of being tense or nervous, it's coming from the crowd.  They were pretty quiet on Saturday though I can understand that.  It's a long time since they have been in this position; it's usually the other way around at the other end of the table.  You can just sense that they are waiting for something to happen, and we know that it's out job to make something happen.  Sometimes we need to help to make it happen but once we got the goal, it was different.  We'd like it from the start because it does influence the opposition."

"We know quite a lot on Port Vale and they've had a really strange season.  You look at them and think they could easily be in the top half of the table, but it's just not worked out like that.  They've changed the manager and brought Dean Glover in; he's somebody that I've known for many years and he's found it really difficult.  He's had injuries and whenever you put the BBC website on, there is always something on there from Port Vale; yesterday it was their chairman saying that the performances have been dire.  For a young manager like Dean, there is a lot to put up with, but they do have some good players and if they put it all together, they are a capable team.  The good thing is though, so are we?"

"I'm looking for six wins, because the league says that you can do that and we've done it, so that would be my target - six wins.  It doesn't matter who is in front of you or who the opposition is.  We've probably beaten most teams already this season, but for the next six games, it really is all about us."

"We will have another large away support there tomorrow.  They were brilliant at Rotherham on a Tuesday night, I didn't expect so many but they were fantastic.  It's good to see, we are a successful team and it's good that they want to come and support us, wherever we play.  I'm delighted for them because for quite a few years' it's not been good.  Now they are enjoying it. It's our job to entertain and make people's weekends better.  If there's one thing I ask the fans on Saturday, it's please start us off!!"
