"I'm happy with the point because that was a tough game.  We didn't play particularly well, but I don't think we deserved to lose the game.  If we had have lost, I wouldn't have been happy but once again we got unbelievable character from the players to go a goal down and come back.  They don't fold; they just show great commitment, effort and desire."

"I am happy with the point; obviously you want three but if you can't take three - take one point away from home.  In an ideal world, you don't want to give any goals away but the reality is that you do, the best teams do give goals away.  It's about what you do about it once you do give a goal away.  I'll take it, we are now unbeaten in seven and have lost two games in something like 16."

"The resilience of the side is second to none, and I have to say it, but I've never doubted it.  You don't sit where we are by caving in when you go a goal behind and start panicking.   It was a great finish for their goal, though obviously I wasn't happy with the lead up to the goal and then the reply was excellent with a pretty good goal from us."

"Once they scored, there was only one team going to score.  I thought it was going to be us but it wasn't to be, so we will take the point and move on."

"They scored and then put ten men behind the ball.  That makes it very hard to break down.  I thought considering everything that has gone on at Port Vale, because every week you read about some sort of crisis that's going on but I thought they looked pretty good today.  They beat Darlington recently; three or four weeks ago they beat Bradford away.  They are a capable team so for us to take a point of them, I'm quite happy with that."

"Andy Bishop was nowhere near ready to play.  He's had an injection this week and he's not trained at all during the week.  At the moment, he goes back into training on Monday and does some football work with the physio and will then train properly with us on Wednesday."

"In his mind, he's not fit.  He knows if he is injured or not and in his mind, he's not fit.  He feels the pain, I don't.  I could put him on the pitch but he knows how much pain he is in so the idea is that we rest him until he feels that he is ready."

"Stephen Dawson was always going to get that tenth yellow card, we knew that and that's why we've brought John Welsh in.  Obviously you don't want to lose Dawson because he is a real driving force behind the team but I think we've recruited pretty well to get John in."

"Now we have a busy time over Easter, but right now, it's Shrewsbury Town that matters.  Its still wide open, you look at Gillingham v Barnet and everyone assumes it's a home win.  Everyone assumed that we would come to Port Vale and beat them, there are no easy games.  That's how it is and probably how it's going to be for the next five games."

"I thought we played pretty good football - after Port Vale has scored.  We couldn't really move it in the first half but once we needed to - I thought we played pretty well."

"I've got to say it, but how good were our supporters today.  987 supporters at an away game is fantastic and they see what we see.  That this team has a desire and a never say die attitude and I think they appreciate that.  I know we appreciate them."

"The supporters have a massive role to play in the next five games.  They were the only one's we could hear today, even before the game.  It's really good that we have a following where ever we go and they do support.  They were really supportive today, even when we went a goal behind you don't hear much moaning because they know that the players are trying their best like they have done all season."
