We have a chance
"It was a battle, tough conditions and a lively pitch but the boys really showed their character which they have done since day one of the season. We've been resolute and held on in there to come away with a good point, which at this stage of the season has given us a belief and the chance of going into the last game keeping the season alive."
"We've been saying it all season - if you can't win - don't lose, but the ethos has been implemented into the club since the day that Alan Knill first walked into the club. I've seen that first hand and he's been able to do that exactly how he wanted it this season. We've all got to do our part and that's the key. Everyone has to do their little bit in order to get Bury to where they are at this moment in time. If everybody pulls there weight, its great, but we have to keep doing it."
"You have to give some credit to Gillingham as well, they had some big strong lads in their side and you can see what work that Mark Stimson has done since he took over. He's built a good strong physical team. They are a difficult side to play against and they are going to be in the shake up as well."
"We can play our games next week. We were hearing things all throughout the day from the fans. We were stood outside the dressing room having a chat at half time and it came over the tannoy system. You start to think - did I really want to know that. All we can do is affect the game that we are involved in. Thankfully we did that on Saturday. It's like Chinese whispers telling you how it is. We just have to try and switch off. Myself and the boss will just deal with what's in front of us."
"Everybody has played their part right throughout the season, from the front four to the midfield, to the defenders to Wayne Brown. You want a clean sheet, you come away from home to Gillingham and get a clean sheet, and you've got to be happy."
"Brownie had his roller blades on to start the game. He's a good keeper and he's done well since he came back in. He calmed the nerves earlier on when he slipped. It's the time of the year where the pitches are a little bit lively. He did exceptionally well to recover on one of them. If he had spilled it - it was a goal. Right across the line, everyone has stepped forward."
"Both sides had half chances on Saturday, the pitch was lively and we did spend time trying to calm them down, but it's quite easy to say it when you're sat on the sidelines. At the end of the exercise though, we are pleased. We got the three goals last week; you can't do that every week. You look across the course of the season and we've been doing ok at home and coming away and getting results. We've had two defeats in 21 games now. You look at the stats, and it's pleasing - we just have to keep that going. We've kept the season alive and now it goes into the last game of the season. We've got a chance."
"The manager had to make a decision regarding Stephen Dawson. Decisions like that have to be made and the manager is aware of that. They are brave decisions. Stephen Dawson has been exceptional all season and has played a massive part all through the season, but you have to look back at what the team has done, what John Welsh has done. We had a good chat about it and we thought the decision was right. It's pleasing when you have someone of Dawson's calibre coming of the bench. He was disappointed and that's good to see. It's nice to see that disappointment when you tell him. It's not easy, however, he's a team player - he took it on took it on the chin, had his little sulk and come on to do his bit - If he didn't do that, I'd have been disappointed."
