"That's not the result I wanted, I don't want to lose any game, though we had plenty of possession, it was one o f those that we had plenty of the ball but didn't really hurt them until the second half. Hopefully that's a wake up call. If we don't do the things that we did last year, then I am afraid that we will struggle, it doesn't matter who you play against, and we had it on Saturday at Fleetwood."
"They created far too many chances for my liking. The reason why we come and play a game with clubs such as Fleetwood Town, last year we played Northwich Victoria, because we think that this is going to be like whom we will be playing on Saturdays, they will be physical games. I expect us to be physical as well, yet in the first half on Saturday, I don't think we made a tackle and consequentially you're not going to win a game."
"It was worrying for me that Wayne Brown was keeping us in the game in the first half. Now we have a week to sort it out, but hopefully we can. I'm not putting this down as a blip, I want to win every game and I expect the players to be the same. We've proven it before, the players have proven it before but now we have this week to sort it out before Saturday."
"The starting line up on Saturday isn't close to the starting line up I will use for Bournemouth; we picked the team on Saturday so that all the players have played exactly the same minutes over pre-season. The one's that started on Saturday are the one's that needed the minutes."
"We had hoped to include Andy Morrell in the youth team game with Ramsbottom on Tuesday night, but apparently, he won't be ready for it and that's a blow for us. You can see that the two lads that have come in, Ryan Lowe and Danny Carlton, need a rest every now and then and it would be nice to have the extra firepower, but it's not to be, we will just have to ride it out and see when they come back."
