"There were some positives to taker from Saturday, there were some good points, but its kind of difficult to take the positives of a 3-0 home defeat, it just emphasises that it's going to be a tough league this year.  Anyone that thinks because we finished fourth last year we will do well this year, I'm sorry but that's not reality.  Last year has gone, now it's a different season and as hard as we tried last season, you have to do equally this year.  It just doesn't fall on your lap."

"I've said it was a wake up call, I shouldn't have to say that.  The only things you take out of this game are you have to work hard first and then your talent will come out.  That's what we need to do; we have to work hard to stop the crosses, stop the shots and on Saturday we didn't."

"The fans on Saturday were fantastic and more than anything, I'm disappointed for them.A 3-0 home defeat, you expect people not to be happy.  If I was paying money and came and watched that and they lost 3-0 at home, I wouldn't be happy."

"Any game coming quickly after a defeat is good because hopefully we can quickly put it right.  We are not playing somebody that is from out league, they were in the premiership last season and it will be a big test for us.  When you play teams from a higher level, you have to try and enjoy the test and put on a decent performance, you do that and you never know where it takes you so I am looking forward to West Brom."
