"The atmosphere around the club has changed because of the win last week.  It's always better after a win but now we need to put that away form into our home form.  Saturday's game was similar to the Cheltenham game in that there were plenty of positives to take from it, but there was also three points.  We answered the right way by taking three points from Port Vale last weekend."

"Ryan Cresswell is obviously missing on Saturday after being sent off last weekend, he's out for one game, but he's done well since he got in.  He was disappointed last week, not with being sent off, but with losing his place in the side.  He's probably been our best player in the two games he's played but getting sent off is one of those things and I am sure he will quickly bounce back."

""I've watched the DVD from Saturday and the first thought was 'how did the ball go into their net', but you take it because we haven't had too much luck.  That was out first bit of luck plus it gave us something to hang onto and I thought we defended really well.  A goal is a goal, it doesn't matter how they go in."

"There's been no progress with the injuries.  Danny Carlton we know is out for months.  Andy Morrell came back to the first team squad on Tuesday and trained, but he's not trained since because he's picked up a knock on his ankle.  It's not in the same place, just another knock to his ankle.  Damien Allen will be seeing a specialist.  He came back to us a week ago and then broke down in training again.  We didn't escape from Port Vale with any injuries; Mike Jones is feeling his ankle.  He kicked the floor when his shot hit the post.  We rested him for two days but he has trained on Thursday and Friday."

"We have four games in two weeks now, so we need players back and fit plus we are also looking to strengthen.  Money is tight but we want to strengthen if we can, Chris Brass and I have been travelling all over the country again looking for players.  We've lost Roberson, Johnson and Rouse and only brought in Tom Elliott, so we are a little short in numbers."

"Now we have a tough game with Lincoln, a very tough game, but it's at home.  It's just like every other game - if you're not at your best, you are going to get beat.  We have to be at our best, no different to Port Vale or Cheltenham.  It will be no different to any other team in this league, they all have players that can hurt you, and so to counter that - we have to be at our best.  We are at home and it's a chance for us to get that elusive home win and get back on track."

"Lincoln changed their manager very early and now it's been three weeks and they have still to make an appointment.  Obviously they are thinking deeply about it.  I know their players, we've seen them play and we know that it will be a tough game.  It makes no difference that we did well against them last season.  That's gone now, it's a new season and we've both got different players, last season counts for nothing."

"I want a home win, the players want a home win and I know the supporters want it.  For the last year, we have got used to winning at Gigg Lane and we have to get back to that.  This is where the majority of our supporters come to watch us so we have to put on that show for them."
