"There's no sign of a loan player coming in and it's really difficult because nobody wants to loan a player and then he's cup tied, but I am hopeful that somebody will be in with us on Monday. It's more or less impossible to get somebody for the FA Cup, plus its short notice - it makes it difficult, plus it has to be somebody that comes straight into the team. We've made the effort to try and get somebody but realistically, it wasn't happening this weekend. We will go to Aldershot with whatever we have got and go to play with the freedom that we have been showing and see what happens."
"The cup run, it's the FA Cup that has the money. We've already heard the directors talk about a cup run and how it makes the football club the money. It's a chance for us to get as far as we possibly can and bring in some money to help the club run a little smoother. I was asked if I would see any of the prize money should we get through to the next round, the answer is probably not, but it helps the club run smoother for the whole season."
"The first thing to do is to win the game and get the prize money and then hopefully progress. For me, if we do get through, then come the later rounds - we will have a stronger squad with more options, so the idea is to get through this one."
"At this level, you have to pay money to compete. For us, we need x amount of supporters through the gate and at the moment we are probably something like a thousand down on that for us to run really smoothly, so it makes a cup run very important to us."
"Last season we went out to Gillingham 1-0, it was probably one of a few disappointments in the season, but then we beat them 4-0 here a few weeks later. Off all the places to go this year though, it's Aldershot. I have no idea why games between us seem to be so open. Aldershot likes to attack and we like to attack. They are really good games and they do have some really good players, good technical players. They move the ball quickly and we move the ball quickly. Usually its end to end stuff and exciting, but not for me. Afterwards though it's different. Even the 3-3 draw last year, you have to give credit to them because we should have won the game at 3-0 up, we shouldn't draw the game. Aldershot are who they are and they do like to go for it."
"They have been good games for the neutrals, but never for each manager. It becomes a good game once its over - then it's either ecstasy or doom and gloom depending on the result. "
"We have this tough cup game, then another on Tuesday night and so far this season, Accrington have been excellent. I've watched them quite a few times and they play really well at home. I've seen them against Shrewsbury and Crewe and they played really well in both games. It will be a tough game and despite everything that has been going on there with all their problems, they've done a great job. "
"Adversity drags everyone together if they have the right characters and obviously they have that at Accrington because they are playing really well."
