"It wasn't a game too many for the players, if we had started the game like we had finished it, it wouldn't have happened but we just didn't.  We gave them two goals.  It was exactly the same as last time, if you give them a chance.  We didn't start the game and then we got punished.  We were just poor defensively and at the other end we had chances and didn't take them."

"We had a good chance just before half time, there were 15 or 16 passes, but he was off side so it doesn't matter about all the good play.  It means nothing and I'm incredibly disappointed just because for the first 20 to 25 minutes, we never competed. It was a mirror image of how it was last time.  We will look at it and ask questions why, but for me, I don't think that start was acceptable."

"It's the same every game, they knew what to expect.  It doesn't chance whether its Aldershot here or Burton away.  You have to start the game right and we didn't.  We were sloppy in possession and definitely sloppy out of possession.  We never saw the danger and never reacted, and there it is - two goals."

"In the second half I thought the players were fantastic because we can't do anything, but they went for it as best we could.  We can't do anything from the bench.  It's a striker that we need.  We've ridden our luck for a while now and on Saturday when we go two goals down, we need somebody to go up front and we just can't do it."

In the end we change the shape three times, which in itself is ridiculous, trying to get back into it.  It just shows the deficiency of the squad.  The players did go for it, but we should never have been in that position.  That's the thing that disappoints me.  We knew what to expect, we were only here three weeks ago and we knew exactly what was going to happen and we just didn't react and didn't start how we wanted to."

"Consequentially it doesn't matter who you play, if you don't start you will get punished like we did today.  We are hopeful that we will have somebody in on Monday, but we are always hopeful.  The worst thing is that we couldn't get anyone in for this game.  Nobody wants their player's cup tied and it was a big game for the club and for us.  I hate to say our hands are tied, but they kind of are.  If we had turned up like we did last week at Burton and Rotherham, hoping that the formation and the shape would work and I have to say that some of it did, but ultimately when your trying to get back into a game, you need players and we just haven't got them."

"You look at the bench and its two players.  The other is a keeper and three young lads who would not be involved.  I've got two players.  With Sodje getting booked, its now one player.  It doesn't get any easier but that's the life it is.  I'm just so disappointed with the start.  There is no excuse for the start and I don't know why because we started the second half properly."

Even after the goals, we were covered and played some decent football.  We were incredibly pretty but didn't show any real aggression in the side and that's what got us punished."
