"Mike Jones trained with the squad on Thursday and he looks like there are no problems but David Worrall has had tonsillitis. He was off on Monday but has trained since; we will see how he is tomorrow. Bish is getting there, and it's been a long time but we are not really looking at him until probably January but the sooner the better with him."
"Damien Allen did so well for us in pre-season, but hasn't kicked a ball since, but he is coming and he may be training with the squad next week or the week after. When he came in he was like a breath of fresh air for us, he's a good technical player and he can move the ball around the pitch, he has loads of energy but we haven't seen him. It's been difficult for Damien and it's been a long time. He can see the light at the end of the tunnel and once he comes back, he stays back."
"I said over the summer that he was one of the fittest lads here, but his problem now is that he only signed a 12 month contract, now he has a big four or five months ahead of him. He's got to get into the side first but to just have him back training will be a boost for everybody because he does add that quality."
"There's been no movement on Danny Nardiello and Saturday will be his last game for us - for now! We have asked the question and are waiting on Blackpool to give us an answer. At the end of the day, he is their player and we can't do anything unless they say yes. We kind of pulled the rabbit out of the hat getting him here and with four goals in five games, I'm delighted. He is a quality player that does come alive around the box."
"The Barnet game was a good win, a good clean sheet and I thought it was a good performance. We've been conceding goals and I have said it before that we had to stop conceding goals against dangerous teams, and Barnet are a dangerous team. They will upset quite a few teams in this league. Going forward they have plenty of pace wide, they have decent players up front and for us to go through the whole game without the keeper making a save was pretty good. Even though it was two goals, I thought we could have scored more."
"The whole team were conscious of keeping that clean sheet. I know we can score goals, but we can't be giving away two or three goals because that gives the opposition to cling onto. We had it last year for a while and it has to stop."
"Saturday's game at Dagenham will be tough - for Dagenham. We are a good side with our record and I am sure that John Still will be aware of us. They will be thinking it's a tough game for them.I know that it's going to be a tough game for us. They've been in the top six all season, you don't get there by being lucky. They are consistent and we have to go there to compete as best as we can, if we compete to our maximum then we have a chance."
"We did it last year and I don't think the score line reflected the game. Dagenham started really well and we scored against the run of play, plus Brownie made some good saves and kept us in the game. Then we scored and scored again. It was a really good performance and probably one it really instilled a belief in the team that we could do something."
"They have had a bit of a blip at home recently losing to Aldershot (2-5) and Rochdale (1-2), but everybody has that blip. They are still a good side and they have some quality players. We will go there and I expect them to be at their best. That's what we are preparing for and that's what we are expecting."
"John Still is a very good manager; he's a proper football man. He knows this game inside out and he continues to bring in players from non-league. John brings them in and they never look out of touch."
