"I walked off the pitch at Dagenham very angry and disappointed, not at the performance, but the goals we conceded.  We do a lot of work on it and we give them a lot of information.  They knew exactly what was coming but didn't stop it.  My biggest disappointment was that they knew, they were prepared.  It's my job to do that and I thought they were well prepared for what was to come."

"They knew what was happening with the first goal, they had read it and I had told them, they knew it was coming and how it was going to come and yet, we didn't stop it."

"It didn't get any better after that with Danny Nardiello leaving and then Stephen Dawson saying he didn't want to sign the contract.  There wasn't much we could do about Danny going back to Blackpool.  We were lucky to get him in the first place and very thankful to Blackpool.  On the Friday before we had spoken to the coaching staff about keeping him and they had agreed for him to stay but on the Saturday they picked up and injury and a suspension, so in the end, there was no choice really."

"Even with the form he had been showing, it wasn't inevitable that he would go.  He needed plenty of games because he had been out a while plus Blackpool are doing really well in the Championship.  I don't think he was going back there to go straight into the team, so he might as well have stayed here.  Another month would have made him a lot sharper and a lot fitter."

"In the time he was here, he was excellent.  Four goals in six games, he was superb for us.  In his first training session for us though, he was rubbish, we were talking after the session and wondered if we had brought the right player in, but put him on the pitch, like we did against Notts County - he was totally different.  He comes alive around the penalty area and was absolutely excellent."

"David Worrall has two or three games left with us and we are trying our best with West Brom to extend the loan.  Tom Elliott is coming back in January, purely because Danny Carlton is still away.  Andy Bishop will see a specialist next week, hopefully he will get the all clear to train and he will be back with us the day after for full training.  Tom will be back with us on 01 January until the end of the season."

"Training has been good this week, the first two days were at the Cliff in Manchester and indoors and it was really good.  Thursday we had to use Goshen, it looked ok when we got there but cut up badly and then on Friday we have the snow to contend with, but we did our best and made the most of it.  The Cliff is fantastic for us and with Jill Neville's contacts at Manchester United it helps us."

"Now I want a reaction on Saturday.  The performance wasn't too bad last weekend; it looked as if both teams could score.  We probably had the better chances than Dagenham did.  Andy Morrell had a good chance, Danny Nardiello hit the bar and Ryan Lowe had a good chance at the end before they got the third."

"Macclesfield had a good result last week with a 3-1 win over Hereford and by all accounts they played pretty well.  Whenever you play a Keith Alexander team, you know it's going to be pretty competitive.  That is what we are expecting; we have to compete with them."

"Thursday afternoon at the hospital was fantastic, and it puts things into perspective.  We all get wrapped up in what we do and how we do it. Some people thing they are the most important person in the world, but you go to the hospital to see the kids and it puts everything into perspective.  We play football, there are far more important things to think about.  We need to look at the bigger picture, and that's always friends or family to be healthy before anything else."

"We handed over £2,200 and it's a very worthy cause so well done to all those that won the shirts on eBay."
