"We didn't deserve to win, and I don't think we deserved to lose plus I am delighted that the players have kept going. I feel we got what we deserved from the game. It was a bit like the Alamo at the end because we had to. They scored and we had to change the shape a little by putting Danny Racchi on to make us more attacking at Right Back, putting David Buchanan back in at left back. We had to go for it."
"The good thing for us though is that the penalty didn't come from just lumping the ball up the pitch. It was a great pass and then a great take by Ryan Lowe. The defender had no choice really but to bring him down. You kind of know that Ryan Lowe is not going to miss from the penalty spot, and thankfully he hasn't so hopefully that keeps going."
"Grimsby scored a good goal, and Wayne Brown has probably had one shot to save with the rest coming from outside the box. I thought we were comfortable and it only ever looked like one goal was going to settle it. When they did and with the amount of pressure and possession they had, it looked like it wasn't going to come, but again - full credit to the players, they just keep going and keep believing in each other, the team and what we are trying to do."
"It's a pretty good point. I think Grimsby are a good side and they do have an unbelievable squad. I'm not sure what has gone on for them to be where they are, but they do have an unbelievable squad for this league and this level and I hope Neil Woods can do something with it."
"As the game went on, it did get colder and the bottom end of the pitch was difficult. In the first half it looked like all we had to do was put the ball into the back of the net but nobody could keep on their feet. It's another game over and moves us onto 36 points now. We've lost two games in 16 so we are going ok."
"We always want it right now and it should be this or should be that but when you look at the bigger picture, then two defeats in 16 games is pretty good for anybody. I think we are going to get better."
"Stephen Dawson has damaged a toe, somebody stood on it but he will have it x-rayed and we will see. When Paul Scott came on to replace him, I thought he was excellent. He's played there before and I thought he was excellent."
"There are rumours about that he is about to join Morecambe. I'd like to know where they come from. I prefer to deal with the truth and the facts. We haven't heard anything about Scotty plus I don't want him to go anywhere. If I did, then he probably would not be here now. Paul Scott has a big part to play and he played a big part on Saturday. I'm delighted with him and everybody in the squad. The attitude I am seeing is fantastic. Danny Racchi is another, he was left out on Saturday, and he comes on and makes the goal for us with the pass for the penalty."
